It then occurred to me that books are usually very popular Christmas gifts and that's when it hit me... Bookmark tags! The icing on top is that it is environmentally friendly too. Instead of it getting tossed out it can be used for years to come. That's a win in my book. (see what I did there?đ)</span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Anyhow... moving on to the tags. I used the ~Over The Mountain~ and ~Snow Globe Scenes~ stamps sets to make these. After stamping the scenes I masked off the mountains and ink blended the skies. I tried to make each one look as if it were at a different time of day. I also tried to make the one on the far right look like the Aurora Borealis. I am not crazy about how it turned out but I am inspired enough to want to give it another try. Once the skies were done I went to work colouring in all the images with Copic Markers. I used a Wow embossing pen and some snow embossing powder to add some snow to the mountain caps and snow drifts. I added some sentiments, ribbon, twine and bells and I was done! </span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">I hope you enjoyed my tags and thank you for stopping by.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Natashaâș</span></p>natashakarahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11260437196316466074noreply@blogger.com19tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6303944510951288201.post-33271198799871124192019-11-13T06:00:00.000-05:002019-11-13T07:04:45.277-05:0025 Days of Christmas tags - Day 10<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Hello and welcome!</span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Today is Day 10 of my lovely and amazing friend <a href="http://inmycreativeopinion.blogspot.com/">Tracey McNeely's 25 days of Christmas tags event</a>. I cannot believe it's been on for 9 years!! I am so honoured that she has asked me to join her these past few years. She really is the QUEEN of Christmas tags. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Today's sponsor is <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/">Simon Says Stamp</a> so I made my tags with some of their great line of products. To give you an idea of just how excited I am, I made two tags for today. đ So without further delay...I will show you the tags already! đ</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">My first tag:</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v_70fNgf-Jk/Xcr25IHCuOI/AAAAAAAABJk/HL49B4rPAksP2wyCcdq4WPui3wIzTijwgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/E391AB4F-A711-4F44-B59E-89692B3F8D45.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1440" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v_70fNgf-Jk/Xcr25IHCuOI/AAAAAAAABJk/HL49B4rPAksP2wyCcdq4WPui3wIzTijwgCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/E391AB4F-A711-4F44-B59E-89692B3F8D45.jpeg" width="576" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">For this first tag I used two dies. The -Christmas token die- and the -Maryanne snowflake-. I cut the Christmas token out of blue glitter cardstock 4 times. This die has a big snowflake in the centre that I didn't want to use so I used a circle die to cut it out. I wanted just the words as a frame where I could suspend the smaller snowflake inside. Once I had just the frame I glued them together. I cut the smaller snowflake out of silver glitter cardstock 4 times. I glued a piece of silver thread in between the layers so I could attach it to the frame I created. Once this was attached, all that was left to do was attach a loop for hanging. I added some bells and a red bow for a pop of colour. Easy...Peasy!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">My second tag:</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-n1hxSQV4OTY/Xcr25EPPTfI/AAAAAAAABJo/vBETOphec4QtcfGi7qhPjk0kv8OpODa7wCEwYBhgL/s1600/F6184975-3043-4D6A-BC4C-E623A2478D92.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1395" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-n1hxSQV4OTY/Xcr25EPPTfI/AAAAAAAABJo/vBETOphec4QtcfGi7qhPjk0kv8OpODa7wCEwYBhgL/s640/F6184975-3043-4D6A-BC4C-E623A2478D92.jpeg" width="558" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">For this tag I stamped the image from the -Winter Hugs- stamp set onto a plain white ornament tag that I die cut from Neenah white cardstock. I masked the image off and ink blended the background sky. I used some Studio calico shine spray to make the snow drops. I coloured the image in with copic markers and used a Spectrum Noir shimmer pen to add some shimmer to the image. I used a WOW! embossing pen to add some puffy embossing powder to the hat. I heat embossed the sentiment onto black cardstock and attached it with foam tape. To finish it off I attached a white silk ribbon for hanging. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Phew! I think that took longer to explain than to make. đ</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Now... wouldn't you love to win one of the awesome prizes that have been so generously provided by the AMAZING sponsors? If you would then hop on over to <a href="https://inmycreativeopinion.blogspot.com/2019/11/the-25-days-of-christmas-tags-2019-main.html">Tracey's blog</a> for all the details on how you can get init...to winit!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Today I have a card to share that I not only LOVED making, but LOVE how it turned out. If you know me, you know just how rare that is. Actually.... This one came out better that I had pictured it in my head. đWhat do you think?</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-shiz_lC586s/Xa3yjDBBSRI/AAAAAAAABJI/svV80rbwiXYlHNzhy4_08ptIzp1TqmeowCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Thanks-A-Ton-Handmade-card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-shiz_lC586s/Xa3yjDBBSRI/AAAAAAAABJI/svV80rbwiXYlHNzhy4_08ptIzp1TqmeowCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/Thanks-A-Ton-Handmade-card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">To make this I used the -<a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/ella-edward-the-elephants-stamp-set-with-matching-dies.html">Ella and Edward the Elephants stamp set</a>- from <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/">Technique Tuesday</a> as well as masking and distress inks. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I started by creating my masks. I stamped the elephant onto some masking paper and cut it out VERY carefully. I needed to use the negative space to create the silhouette of the elephant with ink blending.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Next I covered a 4.25 X 5.5 card panel with masking tape and die cut the circle. I used another piece of masking tape to sketch out the ground that the elephant was going to be standing on. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">When I was done. I went to work blending....and blending....and blending! đI used the stamp to place the elephant where I wanted it, but I realized after that that was probably not necessary. (If you look closely you can see the stamp lines) When I was done with all the blending I die cut the panel with a stitched die frame and heat embossed a sentiment onto the bottom. As a final touch I added some spectrum noir shimmer to the sun and WOW! does it look amazing in real life. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Thats all from me folks.. I hope you enjoyed my card for today. I'll be back with more elephant cards to share in the coming days so stay tuned.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Have a great day.</span></div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hi there. đToday I have a butterfly card to share. I LOVE butterflies. I love how these look like they are flying off the card. To make this I used the <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/beautiful-butterflies-stamps-silhouettes-dies-bundle.html">Beautiful Butterflies Silhouette stamps and matching dies. </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ctZ5IKklX5M/XRQPk0g7f0I/AAAAAAAABHk/3uuTvwUt6YEs5FvcSrCPy18F_jI04eQlgCLcBGAs/s1600/Today-Butterfly-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1568" data-original-width="1600" height="626" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ctZ5IKklX5M/XRQPk0g7f0I/AAAAAAAABHk/3uuTvwUt6YEs5FvcSrCPy18F_jI04eQlgCLcBGAs/s640/Today-Butterfly-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>
I learned how to make this card a few years ago from <a href="https://damasklove.com/partial-die-cut-make-it-monday/">THIS</a> tutorial Amber from <a href="https://damasklove.com/">Damask Love</a> did. I used this same technique to make this card. Once I partially die cut my butterfly I used the WOW! trio in <a href="http://www.wowembossingpowderusa.com/WOW-Trio-Confetti_p_501.html">Confetti</a> to heat emboss the butterflies. Don't you just love these powders with the speckles of silver and white? đNext I used a black pen to make the boarder. I heat embossed the sentiment onto the card with WOW!<a href="http://www.wowembossingpowderusa.com/WOW-Metallic-Platinum_p_157.html"> Platinum</a> embossing powder. I added some raindrops in various sizes to the butterflies and card to finish it off.<br />
<br />
I hope you enjoyed todays card.<br />
Thanks for visiting.<br />

Hello, Hello. I'm back today with jiggling hippo card. This cute hippo is from this months Animal house set. <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/helen-harry-the-hippos-stamp-set.html">Helen and Harry the hippos.</a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AhE5Ulsv73Q/XRQLLz25RNI/AAAAAAAABG8/wfUpu1wSGIYN3o3ppHWYBCBsGS5oPkGiACLcBGAs/s1600/Big-Time-Hippo-Handmade-card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday%2B2.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1296" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AhE5Ulsv73Q/XRQLLz25RNI/AAAAAAAABG8/wfUpu1wSGIYN3o3ppHWYBCBsGS5oPkGiACLcBGAs/s640/Big-Time-Hippo-Handmade-card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday%2B2.jpeg" width="518" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
To make this card I first created the background with some blue distress ink and a cloud stencil. I die cut this piece with a wonky stitched die. Next I stamped the images onto white card stock and cut them out with the matching dies. After I coloured everything in I die cut some grass and assembled all the images where I wanted them to go. I attached the hippo with a mini wobbler and then glued everything together. I heat embossed the sentiment onto a black piece of cardstock with white embossing powder and attached it to the bottom. I attached this panel onto a card base that I embossed with a diagonal embossing plate.<br />

<div>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Now let's get started.... shall we?</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e5KgSTXiCIE/XQPhE6aQ8ZI/AAAAAAAABGE/D0lpLkM5v_w134JPAVtmLh6fvqQ-j0iYwCLcBGAs/s1600/TT-Wow-Sweet-Handmade-card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1282" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e5KgSTXiCIE/XQPhE6aQ8ZI/AAAAAAAABGE/D0lpLkM5v_w134JPAVtmLh6fvqQ-j0iYwCLcBGAs/s640/TT-Wow-Sweet-Handmade-card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" width="512" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">I LOVE heat embossing and I LOVE WOW! embossing powders. I love how quickly and smoothly they melt. (Like Buttah! I tell ya! Like Buttah! đ)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">So when I was trying to come up with something to make for this hop I knew I wanted to use as much WOW! powder as possible! đAnd I think I accomplished my mission. At minimum this is a record for me in how many different colours of EP I've used on one card before. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">To make this card I started by stamping all the popsicle images onto a plain white card base with Versafine clear and Versamark black ink. I then heat embossed the images with clear powder. Next I used a WOW! embossing pen to colour in all the little sections and heat embossed each of them with a different colour powder. This took a bit of time but was quite satisfying. Once I was done "colouring" in all my popsicles with embossing powder I used a scalloped frame to die cut the panel out. When that was done I used my Versamark pad and inked up the entire panel so I could use the clear holographic glitter powder over the whole panel. I mean, cummon..... That sparkle all over just kicks this up a whole lotta notches. Am I right?đI mean this thing is soooo shiny it makes me happy just looking at it. đFor the sentiment I die cut the label from black card stock. I also die cut the word "sweet" from the same black and I cut the word matt from white card stock. Once I glued the two pieces together I coved it with a layer of clear embossing powder just to add some shine and dimension. I used the bright white EP for the "You are" and then glued the word below that. All that was left was to assemble may card and call it DONE! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">My card today uses the new Animal house stamp set called <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/alligators-crocodiles-stamp-set.html">Alligators and Crocodiles</a>. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">To create this card I first masked of the outer edges of a 4.25 X 5.5 piece of card stock with some post it tape. I created a little sand mound by just free hand cutting it out using some masking tape. I then stamped my images where I wanted them to be and masked them with some masks I cut out of post it notes. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qmveLtn9LXY/XNX14d7ac-I/AAAAAAAABDU/KcQYlva2y-4Z-XlbKsP6v9YrSBrbQzQCwCEwYBhgL/s1600/See-You-Later-Hand-Made-Card-step-out-Natasha-Kara-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1332" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qmveLtn9LXY/XNX14d7ac-I/AAAAAAAABDU/KcQYlva2y-4Z-XlbKsP6v9YrSBrbQzQCwCEwYBhgL/s640/See-You-Later-Hand-Made-Card-step-out-Natasha-Kara-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" width="531" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Next I ink blended the background with some Distress ink in tumbled glass and antique linen. Once that was done I removed the masks and coloured my images in using copic markers. I used dots of colour to create some texture. I wasn't happy with the inked background and decided to create some texture to the water and sand by colouring over the ink with copic markers in varying shades of blues and browns. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Once everything was coloured in I removed the masking tape from the border. I trimmed the piece of card stock down to 4 X 5.25 and adhered it to my card base with some foam tape to add some dimension. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Hello!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Today I'm sharing a card I made using the <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/monkey-business-stamp-set.html">Monkey business stamp set</a> from the <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/animal-house-stamp-sets-and-matching-crafting-dies.html">Animal house collection</a>. This was such a fun one to play with. Such cute little monkeys with a bunch of fun sentiments. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pTF54iqw8Co/XLfZdR3fpeI/AAAAAAAABBY/ivGNrLGxuswIZGiMY7QI9Ph2iIjllefNACLcBGAs/s1600/Bananas-About-You-Handmade-Card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1376" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pTF54iqw8Co/XLfZdR3fpeI/AAAAAAAABBY/ivGNrLGxuswIZGiMY7QI9Ph2iIjllefNACLcBGAs/s640/Bananas-About-You-Handmade-Card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpg" width="550" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">For this card I wanted a leafy background. Ordinarily I like creating backgrounds with stamps. But for this one I had the green card stock that is cut out(? I'm not sure how to describe it) I've been hoarding this and some others for years and finally decided it was time to use it. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0yoMABNAXVQ/XLfZdcsoKqI/AAAAAAAABBc/HWleVTxOIigRrMZJHHC_-FMgt-NMiHUSQCEwYBhgL/s1600/Bananas-About-You-Step-out-Handmade-Card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0yoMABNAXVQ/XLfZdcsoKqI/AAAAAAAABBc/HWleVTxOIigRrMZJHHC_-FMgt-NMiHUSQCEwYBhgL/s640/Bananas-About-You-Step-out-Handmade-Card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">So I trimmed a piece down and glued it over a lighter green piece of card stock so it would pop. I used a stitched mat to die cut this piece down to a smaller size. I stamped the monkey, the bananas and the sentiment onto some kraft card stock and coloured the images in with Prisma coloured pencils. I adhered the kraft piece to the green background and then adhered the green piece onto an acetate card base. </span><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
Hello there.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I hope you are enjoying a relaxing Sunday wherever you are. Today at <a href="https://techniquetuesday.typepad.com/">Technique Tuesday</a> we are celebrating Women and Mothers. I am sharing a card I made that could be given to a special woman in your life for just about and occasion. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4gKI2N5TKSk/XLKm0ojpALI/AAAAAAAABA8/q37PO5MwwH4IV0tGdcGrsCmhjjuN4LLmgCLcBGAs/s1600/Beautiful-Narcissus-Hand-Made-Card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1283" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4gKI2N5TKSk/XLKm0ojpALI/AAAAAAAABA8/q37PO5MwwH4IV0tGdcGrsCmhjjuN4LLmgCLcBGAs/s640/Beautiful-Narcissus-Hand-Made-Card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" width="512" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This card featured the <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/beautiful-narcissus-stamp-set.html">Beautiful Narcissus flower stamp set</a>. I stamped the image onto some smooth white cardstock and then cut it out with the matching die. I then coloured it in with copic markers. I watercoloured the background onto some watercolour paper. Next I cut a gold scalloped frame and cut the watercolour panel down to fit behind it. I adhered the flower onto the watercolour panel and popped it up onto an embossed card base with some foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiment onto a little die cut and adhered it onto the front.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2_ihsPKlkGo/XLKm0uWulkI/AAAAAAAABBA/T5F1xC_abtgHI0CZBBoUaoKJD9HqrLwWACEwYBhgL/s1600/Beautiful-Narcissus-Close-up-Hand-Made-Card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1213" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2_ihsPKlkGo/XLKm0uWulkI/AAAAAAAABBA/T5F1xC_abtgHI0CZBBoUaoKJD9HqrLwWACEwYBhgL/s640/Beautiful-Narcissus-Close-up-Hand-Made-Card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" width="484" /></a></div>

So my friend Robbie the racoon wanted to make another appearance today. đ<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-z7AeMakuGYo/XJu74-UFxpI/AAAAAAAAA_U/mxIZ3xsfiPItMjGIppG6PgtRk9SRvNa-wCLcBGAs/s1600/Racoon-Paws-Handmade-card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1566" data-original-width="1600" height="626" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-z7AeMakuGYo/XJu74-UFxpI/AAAAAAAAA_U/mxIZ3xsfiPItMjGIppG6PgtRk9SRvNa-wCLcBGAs/s640/Racoon-Paws-Handmade-card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Here he is getting up to mischief again. Seriously... I just love this little guy. He reminds me of my youngest son....always getting into some kind of trouble but then has that cute little "what?" look on his face. đ<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LFUqdcs45EE/XJu75IclhnI/AAAAAAAAA_o/wZiD9SiOChwX48W98dn3dzMZSfV4LLpqQCEwYBhgL/s1600/Racoon-Paws-close-up-Handmade-card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1453" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LFUqdcs45EE/XJu75IclhnI/AAAAAAAAA_o/wZiD9SiOChwX48W98dn3dzMZSfV4LLpqQCEwYBhgL/s640/Racoon-Paws-close-up-Handmade-card-Natasha-K-Technique-Tuesday.jpeg" width="580" /></a></div>
So, I got reallly into this card that I totally forgot to stop and take pics as I was going. đSorry! Anyway... Luckily it is pretty straight forward so it's easy to just explain.<br />
I started with a plain white 4.5X5.5 Panel of Neenah white card stock and I masked and stamped all my images onto the panel. Next I coloured all the images in with copic markers. (I'm not loving the way I coloured Robbie over there. I think I should have left his face a little lighter in spots so it stood out more. But hey! It is what it is!) When I was done colouring I masked off all the images and coloured the background with some distress ink blending. I used Pumice stone and Tumbled Glass. I added some water droplets and some foot prints. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the panel. I ran the panel through my die cutter with a stitched die to add a boarder. Ans finally I glued the panel onto a white card base.<br />
<br />
And that was it. Easy peasy.<br />
Thanks for coming by again. I hope you are having a great day wherever you are.<br />
Tasha âș<br />

<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">I love how cute this little guy is, poking his head out of the garbage can. I know that no-one likes raccoons going through their garbage in real life. But in the land of crafting it's all good. đ</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">For this card I stamped the images with memento tuxedo black ink onto 100LB Neenah white card stock. I coloured them in with copic markers. Although I have matching dies I opted to fussy cut the images out since I did not any white borders. I inked up a 4.5 X 5.5 piece of white card stock using some distress inks in pumice stone and tumbled glass. I used some water to create the droplets and them used a stitched die to cut my panel where I adhered my images to. I stamped some of the little footprints and used a grey copic marker to add some shadows to ground my images. I stamped the sentiment and adhered the panel to a kraft coloured card base. </span><br />

<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #333333; font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">I started by die cutting the windows and stitched scallop border from a plain 4.25 x 5.5 panel of white card stock. I then stamped my images onto the inner pieces that were left from the window cut outs. I coloured the images in with copic markers. I drew my colour palette from the colours in the striped piece of paper I used for my background panel. I and then masked them so I could do some light ink blending around them to make them stand out more. I stamped the sentiment onto my top panel and coloured them in with copics too. I adhered the piece of patterned paper to the base of my card and then placed the window panel on top of this with foam tape. I glued the images into the windows. and I finished the card with a few pretty jewels drops.</span></span></span><br />

Today I so am excited to share a card I made using the Beau & Beatrice the beaver stamp set from <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/">Technique Tuesday</a>. It is the newest addition to the <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/animal-house-stamp-sets-and-matching-crafting-dies.html">Animal house collection</a>. I just love all the stamps in this collection. They have such awesome sentiments and such cute images.<br />
So without further ado.... I give you my card đ<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1Mf3DCklPmE/XA7jSwF0GeI/AAAAAAAAA9I/RL8bVtr8Ubg5rw5kxliKX9EpoSes16AtACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0147.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1207" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1Mf3DCklPmE/XA7jSwF0GeI/AAAAAAAAA9I/RL8bVtr8Ubg5rw5kxliKX9EpoSes16AtACLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0147.jpg" width="482" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
Aren't these little guys just adorable? đ<br />
I used a cloud stencil and some Tumbled glass distress ink to create the clouds onto an A2 white card. I used some stitched circles to die cut the windows from some woodgrain card stock. Once I stamped and die cut the beavers out I used copic markers to colour them in. The sentiments are heat embossed with white embossing powder onto some black card stock. Once I finished assembling the card I added some of my favourite rain drops to the card to just kick it up a notch.<br />
<br />
I hope you enjoyed my card for today and I'll be back to share more cute cards with this adorable set.<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by.<br />

For this tag I used images from the Wplus9 Merry and Bright stamp set. I stamped the glass holder with SSS fog ink and used copic markers to shade it. The candle and the rest of the images were stamped with various PTI and SSS inks. I used added some shading and white gel pen to create some depth and dimension. I finished off the tag with some ribbon and green twine.<br />

I hope you are hopping along with us to see all the gorgeous tags and perhaps finding some time to play along too?<br />

Thank you for stopping by and happy hopping!<br />

I absolutely love these sets, they all have a great variety of sentiments with images that are just so cute and easy to work with.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
One of my favorite things to do with cards is create backgrounds. Don't get me wrong, I love and hoard pretty patterend paper. I just find it so satisfying to know that I made the 'whole' card. So whenever I see small stamps in sets, my first thought is....Background!<br />
For this card I randomly stamped the mushroom on a 4.25 X 5.5" card panel with Memento's tuxedo black ink. I also stamped the hedgehog and a couple of extra mushrooms. I used prisma colour pencils to colour in the hedgehog and since I didn't want a white boarder I fussy cut it out with scissors. I used zig clean color brush markers to colour in the mushrooms. Once I was done all the clouring I used a wavy stitched die to cut out my panel. Next I used a semi circle die to cut a window out of the panel. I also cut a black boarder to frame the window. I used the inside piece and did some ink blending to make it look like a sky and ground. I stamped my sentiment before I attached that piece to the card base and popped the panel up with foam tape. I attached the images inside the window as well as some grass I die cut to add some interest.<br />
<br />
Well, thats it for my card today. I do hope you like it.<br />
Thanks for stopping by.<br />

<br />
Today I am sharing a fun card that I made with the newest edition to the <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/">Technique Tuesday</a> <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/animal-house-stamp-sets-and-matching-crafting-dies.html">Animal house collection</a>, <a href="https://www.techniquetuesday.com/henrietta-hedgehog-stamp-set.html">Henrietta the Hedgehog</a>. This set was so much fun to work with. I just LOVE all the sentiments in this set.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1VA0AzVDiY4/W8TEb_OaWlI/AAAAAAAAA6s/kOSnBERFVn4YSW_nKZYsTxkh8--L1MgbwCLcBGAs/s1600/TTHedgehog.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1432" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1VA0AzVDiY4/W8TEb_OaWlI/AAAAAAAAA6s/kOSnBERFVn4YSW_nKZYsTxkh8--L1MgbwCLcBGAs/s640/TTHedgehog.jpeg" width="571" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For this card I used the mirror image stamping technique. I first stamped the hedgehog image onto Neenah white cardstock with Momento Black ink. I then stamped the image onto a solid rubber stamp and then used that to stamp the image again onto my cardstock. This creates a mirror image. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tFcDRTIRz7Y/W8dXZGokwGI/AAAAAAAAA7Q/Yp6DOVcaCkgY7U2dnJRmwbpQaIShl-BmQCEwYBhgL/s1600/TTHedgehog%25231A.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1176" data-original-width="1600" height="235" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tFcDRTIRz7Y/W8dXZGokwGI/AAAAAAAAA7Q/Yp6DOVcaCkgY7U2dnJRmwbpQaIShl-BmQCEwYBhgL/s320/TTHedgehog%25231A.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also stamped the mushroom image onto the same piece of cardstock. Once everything was stamped, I coloured all the images in with copic markers. This set does have matching dies but since I created a mirror image I needed to fussy cut them so that they all looked the same.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the background I covered a 4.25 X 5.5" panel of white cardstock with masking paper and sketched out a hill. I cut the hill out and used the masks to do some ink blending. Once I was happy with the intensity of the blending I splattered some ink and water onto the blending to create the splattered effect you see. I wanted to create a sandy ground for them to be standing on. I then used a scalloped die to cut out the panel in the size I wanted. Next, I stamped my sentiment directly onto the panel and adhered the images onto the panel with clear foam squares. Lastly, I popped the panel up onto a plain white card base with some foam tape. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I really like the way this turned out, and I'll probably be glad I have this on hand when the need to apologize arrises. ;)</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for stopping by. </div>
I hope you enjoyed my card.<br />

Todays card was a labour of love. đ I made it for a birthday party my youngest son was invited to. It took an <b><u>insane</u></b> amount of time to come together and at one point I was ready to give up, but since I am so stubborn my ego would not allow this card to defeat me so I persisted. đ And I am glad I did because I actually like the final product.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A_pk41lC57Y/WqLFwX4aZQI/AAAAAAAAA50/z6FTDk7uKC8Iuqn9x0Q6Ht_9Rpe1K8b4gCLcBGAs/s1600/superboy%2Bcomic.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1342" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A_pk41lC57Y/WqLFwX4aZQI/AAAAAAAAA50/z6FTDk7uKC8Iuqn9x0Q6Ht_9Rpe1K8b4gCLcBGAs/s640/superboy%2Bcomic.jpg" width="536" /></a></div>
<br />
For a while now I have wanted to create a comic book inspired card. This super boy image from MFT was the perfect character to base my card on. I coloured him in with copic markers and then went to work on the rest of the card. I used distress inks and a combination of stamps and stencils to make the different background pieces. For the Orange piece I used some spiced marmalade and carved pumpkin Distress ink for the base colour, then I used a cutout of the Altenew Halftone cover plate as a stencil with rusty hinge. On the blue piece I used salty ocean and mermaid lagoon for the base and stamped the dots onto with a stamp from the Papertrey Inks superhero stamp set using blueprint sketch. The yellow piece was inked with squeezed lemonade on the base and sponged with mustard seed over a Penny Black chevron stencil. The red piece was also made with a stencil that I made with my Silhouette machine since I do not own a sun ray stencil. I used Candy apple and festive berries on the base and some fired brick as the darker colour with the stencil. Lastly, the base of the green piece was twisted citron and I stamped the halftone circles from Altenew with PTI's new leaf ink.<br />
To get the comic book effect I used black card stock and the split die from MFT's Blueprints 18. I then cut those two panels in half to get 4 pieces. I used the black pieces as my matt and trimmed the inked pieces down to fit. The words were dies from PTI 's superhero set. I cut two of each. 1 from black card stock and the other from a coloured card stock. I offset them to create a shadow effect.<br />
I attached everything to a white card base and popped up the circle with foam tape to create some dimension.<br />
Phew.... that took almost as long to explain as it did to make. đđđ (not really.)<br />
<br />
Well, I hope you like todays card.<br />
Thank You for stopping by.<br />

<br /><div>
Today I have a deliciously sweet card to share. If you know anything about me at all, it is that I have a VERY sweet tooth. Desert is my favourite course of every meal. đ One of my favourite sweet treats is macaroons. Those delightfully sweet, melt in your mouth treats have me salivating just thinking about them. If you, like me, are obsessed with these little bites of heaven then you know all about LaudreĂ©. Now as a card maker, I find their advertising as amazing as their desserts. So when Altenew came out with their macaroon stamp set, I knew I had to have it so I could make cards inspired by these delicious photos. </div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_VGctJAcKGg/WoxTa46xSqI/AAAAAAAAA5A/gLwtts7GID4E1BL2QOZVcfbETvRbBTsYACLcBGAs/s1600/iu-1.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1505" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_VGctJAcKGg/WoxTa46xSqI/AAAAAAAAA5A/gLwtts7GID4E1BL2QOZVcfbETvRbBTsYACLcBGAs/s320/iu-1.jpeg" width="301" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ghXqcOQK0ec/WoxTbTjf8WI/AAAAAAAAA5E/M8__tzdbt4oqgE8gI8et4KJSR9OWl-sTgCLcBGAs/s1600/iu.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="474" data-original-width="474" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ghXqcOQK0ec/WoxTbTjf8WI/AAAAAAAAA5E/M8__tzdbt4oqgE8gI8et4KJSR9OWl-sTgCLcBGAs/s320/iu.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Don't they just make you want some macaroons? (It's taking everything I have right now not to hop in my car and visit our local mall that has a Laudreé store.)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now for my card: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-r2A5IxGczAI/WoxTa0w1QPI/AAAAAAAAA48/FRPVVW-axrsnaRnju5fvbL1-7sPLGWTUACLcBGAs/s1600/Macaroons2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1565" data-original-width="1368" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-r2A5IxGczAI/WoxTa0w1QPI/AAAAAAAAA48/FRPVVW-axrsnaRnju5fvbL1-7sPLGWTUACLcBGAs/s640/Macaroons2.jpg" width="559" /></a></div>
<div>
To make this card, I stamped the macaroons from Altenew's <u>Handmade Tags</u> stamp set onto white Neenah white card stock with some vanilla versacolor pigment ink. This allowed me to do some no-line colouring. I used zig clean colour brush markers to colour these in and then used a white gel pen to accentuate the highlights. The wreath in the centre is from a Wpls9 stamp set called <u>Heartfelt Holidays</u>. The wreath and sentiment were heat embossed using gold embossing powder. I tried the panel down and mounted it onto a gold mirror panel and then mounted that onto a mint green Hero Arts card base. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This is one of my favourite cards I've made and it went to a very special cousin for her birthday. </div>
<div>
I hope you enjoyed todays post. </div>

I am back today with TWO cards! I know! It's like I'm on a roll or something. đ </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So last week I made a trip to my LSS to place an order for the new Tim Holtz glass mat that was released at Creativation last month. While I was there I could not resist getting a few Altenew goodies to play with. One of my acquisitions was the AMAZING 'Budding Thanks' set. </div>
<div>
It is honestly such a great stamp set. It makes it so easy to whip up a card that looks like you've spent hours making. </div>
<div>
Here are the two cards I've made so far, but stay tuned because I think this set is going to get a serious workout. (There is one flower I haven't even used yet.đŻ)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ddCoEl4f9DA/WoMHUbIlshI/AAAAAAAAA4Y/YERUZ-a8jlMpxixgbZHrkJ6TFy8OvoNwACLcBGAs/s1600/Budding%2Bthanks%2B1.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1422" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ddCoEl4f9DA/WoMHUbIlshI/AAAAAAAAA4Y/YERUZ-a8jlMpxixgbZHrkJ6TFy8OvoNwACLcBGAs/s640/Budding%2Bthanks%2B1.1.jpg" width="568" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For this card I stamped each flower with the coordinating layers onto a 4.25 X 5.5 panel. Then I used some Copic markers in C1 and N2 to create the shadows around the flowers.This little detail makes such a difference in the depth and dimension it adds to the finished card. I then went over each flower with a Wink of Stella shimmer brush pen to add some shimmer. Once this was done, I die cut it using the large scalloped frame from the MFT Blueprints 27 set. Next I used a smaller scallop from the stitched scalloped mini stax set to cut out a frame in the centre of the panel. I mounted the large frame onto a black card base and used some foam tape to pop the frame in the centre up. The sentiment is the 'Many Thanks' die cut from Ellen Hutson. I cut off the word many and then heat embossed the thanks with some clear EP to add dimension. To finish off this card I added some clear rainstones from PTI. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GW0q5QESRIo/WoMFUHRc8uI/AAAAAAAAA4E/8x0_t2WTaScNzY4b3RIIRqgcGFwCagiYACLcBGAs/s1600/budding%2Bthanks%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1414" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GW0q5QESRIo/WoMFUHRc8uI/AAAAAAAAA4E/8x0_t2WTaScNzY4b3RIIRqgcGFwCagiYACLcBGAs/s640/budding%2Bthanks%2B2.jpg" width="564" /></a></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
For my second card I stamped the flowers and sentiment onto a 3X5.5 inch white card panel. Once I was done stamping I added some Wink of Stella to add some shimmer to the flowers and sentiment. I mounted the panel onto a silver glitter panel. I then attached that to a soft stone card base. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
See, easy as pie. đŹ</div>
<div>

Well, I hope you enjoyed my offerings for today. thanks for stopping by.</div>

Anybody there??? đ Just kidding. I am really bad at blogging though, aren't I? I'm thinking I should try harder to make the time to share my cards more often. đ It's not that I don't make them, its just that I am not so good with sharing them. Well, that and the fact that 'last minute Lucy' over here, seems to always be making cards 5 minutes before I need them and end up either not taking photos or simply forgetting to come back and share them.<br />
Anyway.... its still early into 2018 and therefore IMHO still ok to make positive changes, right? đ<br />
So lets move along, shall we?<br />
Today I have a card to share that I made for a birthday party my youngest son was invited to this weekend. I used the Space Explorer set from MFT for this one and it was SOOO much fun to make.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jlmTMeXg99Y/WoHGgtj0-jI/AAAAAAAAA3g/YQEixQ2DSOA3lnnthmGzEudq9Ew12A0lQCLcBGAs/s1600/MFT%2BSpace%2Bdude_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jlmTMeXg99Y/WoHGgtj0-jI/AAAAAAAAA3g/YQEixQ2DSOA3lnnthmGzEudq9Ew12A0lQCLcBGAs/s640/MFT%2BSpace%2Bdude_1.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I started this card with an idea for the background that I wanted my space dude to be floating on. The earth was a free with 60 die I got a while ago with one of my MFT orders. It is one of my favourite dies. It was attached to a sentiment that read "you mean the world to me" but thanks to my old jewelry making days I had the tools on hand to cut that part off so that I could just use the earth as a stand alone die. I have had a lot of use of this die this way. The die only cuts out the continents, so once those were cut out, I used a circle stax die that fitted to make a mask. I masked off the background and went to work inking up the blue earth using distress inks. Once I was happy with the earth, I masked it off and got inky with my space background. I used a white gel pen and some studio calico white and shimmer sprays to create the stars. The images (including the continents) were coloured with Copic markers. I used some glossy accents to add some interest and dimension to the moon, the ring around Saturn and the continents on the earth. Once everything was inked and coloured, I mounted it onto a silver glitter card stock. That, was then mounted onto a white card base on which I used a stitched die from lil inkers to create a stitching line detail. You can't see it in this photo (and I can't seem to upload the video I took đĄ) but the space guy is attached with an action wobbler, so he jiggles! EEKKK! 7 year olds get all the fun cards I tell ya!<br />
<br />
Anyhoo... thats my card for today. I hope you like it. And come back tomorrow to see all the fun I have been having with some Altenew flowers.<br />
Thanks for visiting me.<br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;">I created the background of this card with the Avery Elle Ikat additions stamp set using Simon says stamp fog gray and Hero Arts soft pool ink. The gold accents and sentiment were heat embossed with some glitter EP from Reflections. The sentiment is from Avery Elle's 'comfort and joy' stamp set. I mounted the stamped panel onto a birchwood scalloped matt and a soft stone card base. I love the idea of making Christmas cards out of non Christmas stamps. :)</span><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="color: #353434;">Itâs not a party without a prize - and with prizes every day there are several chances to win! I am very excited to be the Muse this month over on the <a href="http://musechristmasvisions.blogspot.ca/">Muse: Christmas Visions blog</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hZr9TqVXfYQ/WOO5r1gGpuI/AAAAAAAAA2U/ZgoENUucC0oXoipw0tNqS8XntzX6fqcuQCEw/s1600/MCV%2Bcard.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hZr9TqVXfYQ/WOO5r1gGpuI/AAAAAAAAA2U/ZgoENUucC0oXoipw0tNqS8XntzX6fqcuQCEw/s640/MCV%2Bcard.jpg" width="504" /></a></div>
<br />
For my inspiration card I created a cute scene using a stamp set from <a href="http://www.averyelle.com/">Avery Elle</a> called, 'Caroling Critters'. I started with some cracked pistachio distress ink to do some ink blending for the background. I then used the 'Wonkey stitched elle-ments' die to cut out the panel. My images were die cut, stamped and heat embossed onto some Bristol paper and coloured with Zig clean colour markers. I used an<a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/"> MFT</a> die to cut the snow drift out and stamped the sentiment on it before popping it onto the base with some foam tape. Once I had all the images adhered in place, I attached it to a card base with some silver glitter paper to add some shine.<br />
<br />
Thank you so much for visiting today and I hope you are inspired to play along. Hop on over to the <a href="http://musechristmasvisions.blogspot.ca/">Muse:Christmas Visions blog</a> to find out how to play along.<br />
<br />
Natasha :)<br />

<span style="-webkit-padding-start: 0px;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Here's todays card:</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: calibri, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pSCQNuN1jvc/WEDoqAzyymI/AAAAAAAAA1Q/3EE-8bPd2_kED0kEItF18Fq5JE90SRpxgCLcB/s1600/Lawn%2BFawn%2BSnow%2Bglobe.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pSCQNuN1jvc/WEDoqAzyymI/AAAAAAAAA1Q/3EE-8bPd2_kED0kEItF18Fq5JE90SRpxgCLcB/s640/Lawn%2BFawn%2BSnow%2Bglobe.jpg" width="484" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: calibri, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div>
<span style="-webkit-padding-start: 0px;"> <span style="font-family: inherit;">For todays card I started with the snow globe from PTI. After cutting the base piece out of plain white card stock I went to work inking it up with a variety of distress ink colours. I then added some water droplets to give it some interest but decided I wanted some more texture, so I used a memory box stencil and some texture paste to create the snow. Once that was done I cut the Mama Elephant buildings out of black card stock and glued it onto a yellow base so to create "lights". For the front of the globe I used a combination of silver foil and silver glitter card stock. I sandwiched the front and back together with double sided foam in between and added some chunky glitter, stars and micro beads to create the shaker element. The sentiment is from the WPlus 9 Heartfelt Holiday set, and is heat embossed with white EP on black card stock. I always like to add little details that I think will add a little extra something to my cards and so I added some nail heads to the sentiment strip as well as the sides of the base of the snowglobe. </span></span><br />
<span style="-webkit-padding-start: 0px; font-family: inherit;">The little fairy is from the Lawn Fawn "Frosty Fairy Friends" set. I coloured her in with copics and a glitter gel pen. I'm not sure if you can see it or not, but the bottom of her skirt and her ear muffs are puffy. I used a liquid appliqué pen and then used my heat gun to make it puff up. I thought it was a fun touch. </span><br />
<span style="-webkit-padding-start: 0px; font-family: inherit;">Once I was done with the snow globe I used a stripped embossing plate from PTI, some soft stone card stock and a scalloped die to create the matt that I mounted the snow globe onto. I attached it all to a plain white card base and that finished my card for today. </span></div>
