Hello again.
Today I have a couple of cards I made using some neat and tangled products (thanks to my sweet friend Emily) :). I am part of a group of girls who get together once a month or so to get crafty. One of the upsides to this is, we get to use each others crafty supplies and therefor try things we don't have in our own stash. In the beginning we would spend so much time talking that very little crafting got done, however, we are finally getting the hang of things and even though we might not have time to finish anything, we do cut and stamp stuff that we can finish later. Both my cards that I am sharing today were started at our last gathering two weeks ago. I finished them last week but had a house full of sick people (myself included) so they never got photographed or posted. Anyway...without further ado, here you go:
For this card I stamped the solid image from the 'Paper cut flowers' set onto white cardstock using Altenew inks in various colors (sorry, I used my pal Ardyth's inks so I don't have the names, but they are AMAZING, and they will be coming home to me sometime in the near future :) )
I then added some accents and texture with copics and pencils to add some interest. I colored the background with a light grey and then sprayed the whole piece with a studio calico shimmer spray. At this point I liked the card but I wanted to kick it up a notch so I added some gel pen dots. The sentiment is from the 'Kindness matters' set and is heat embossed with silver pearl EP onto black card stock using a stitched frame die (of Tracey's) from PTI.
What I love most about this card is that, as you can see, I have used something that I borrowed from each of the girls. Sharing is caring! :)
On to my second card:
This card is a fun, simple shaker card. For this one, I stamped the 'punchinella" stamp onto white cardstock using Hero Arts ombre inks. (also from Ardyth :0 ) I created the window and frame with PTi dies and mounted it onto stone grey cardstock that I dry embossed with the PTI linen plate. The sentiment is from Neat and Tangled's 'everyday labels' set. I stamped it on white cardstock with momento tuxido black ink. I trimmed and mounted them onto the front of the shaker with foam tape. ;)
Well, that's all from me for today folks. Thanks for stopping by.
Here is a pic of us at our last get together.
Yes...that was as much fun as it looks ;)
peace and love
Natasha :)
Well hello lovely! Your first card turned out just gorgeous! Watching the way you stamped that background was so fun you were so in your zone! Now I love shakers, never make them, but love them and yours turned out just perfect. Keep posting you have such a gift to share! ;)
ReplyDeleteYour first card is bright and gorgeous! You rock the bright colours. I love the ombré background to the shaker card, too. Awesome, Natasha!
