25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 24

Hellooooo, and welcome to MCV #30.

Today I am super excited to be joining in as a guest designer with the MCV Design team, who are all playing along with Day 24 of Tracey's "25 Days of Christmas tags" event. MCV is today's sponsor, and there will be some sweet prizes up for grabs over on Traceys blog, "In My Creative Opinion" as well as MCV. So make sure you go and check out the details!

The MCV Tag theme is red and green with a tree element as an option.

Here's my tag:

For this tag I used a holly stamp from the PTI Tiny treats Christmas set. I randomly stamped it on to a tag die cut from Lil' inkers and then used my copics to color them in.  I outlined each one with a grey copic so it would make the images stand out more. I also used a white gel pen to accentuate the highlights a bit more.  When I was done coloring I added my go to combination, Wink of Stella and glossy accents. It doesn't really show up in this pic but I have a close up below that shows it a little better.
The word die is also from PTI.  I cut several from red card stock and glued them together for some dimension and attached it to the front. lastly I used some red satin ribbon and some twine to finish it off.

Here's the close up of the shine:

So, my post was supposed to end here, However I  managed to finish another tag I was working on for this occasion.  So here is my second tag for today's challenge.

All the products on this tag are from Papertrey Ink. I created the scene with the dies and stamps form Betsy Velmans Make it market kit, Tinsel and tags. The ornament was cut with red and gold cardstock.

Before I love and leave you, I would just like to say a big Thank You to Ardyth for inviting me to play along with the MCV design team, and also to Tracey for organizing the 25 days of Christmas tags event. I have seen so many wonderful tags and have been so inspired to try new techniques. I think you just might be seeing more tags from me after this. ;)

Peace and love.

Hey Jude....

...don't make it bad.... Take a sad song, and make it better.....

So now that you have that song stuck in your head, you know how I feel. ;)
So my littlest persons best friend is a sweet boy named Jude. Although today is Judes Birthday.  (Happy Birthday Jude! ) He had his party on Sunday. I tried to get my little guy to make his card but he was too busy playing with his brothers to be concerned with coloring ;)  So I made his card.

For this card I used stamps from various companies.

I started by stamping the little trucks and bus (Papertrey ink) with black momento tuxedo ink and colored them with copic markers. I did the same with the balloons (Neat and tangled). I added some wink of stella and glossy accents to all the images and set them aside to dry.
The box  (Neat and Tangled) was cut from kraft cardstock and stamped with a tiny star (PTI)  using luxe pigment inks in red, yellow and blue. I made a little bit of an oopsy by stamping the sentiment a bit too high, but I didn't notice it until I was attaching the box to the card, at which point I was out of time and could not re-do it. ;-/  For the card base, I stamped the star background (Hero Arts) onto  stone grey (PTI) cardstock using a light grey ink (fog, SSS) I assembled the box with all its goodies onto a stitched panel cut from white cardstock (PTI) and popped it on to the base with foam tape. Lastly, I added some silver star sequence for some extra sparkle.

Jude, apparently loved his card, and that make me very happy. :D

Well that's it from me for today folks.
Thanks for stopping by.
Tasha :)
