It's the first day of Summer vacation, and we are starting it off with a bang! We are heading out to Canada's wonderland for a day of fun in the sun. So I am stopping by quickly to share my card for this weeks Bellarific Friday challenge.
This weeks challenge was a sketch challenge. Here's the sketch:
and here is my card:
For this card I used Blow a kiss Jane. I stamped her onto some white bella paper, and then used a wooden frame from studio calico to make a frame. I colored in the hearts and added some glossy accents to them.
Thnanks for stopping by.

Birthday card
I'm just popping in quickly to share a card with you that I made for my Son's birthday. I made this one to give him from his youngest brother:
For this card I used the planets and galaxies stamp. I cut the stamp apart so that I could play around with the placement of the images. I stamped and heat embossed the images with white EP,onto black card stock. I then took a versamark pen and colored in parts of the images and went back with colored EP. The EP kind of bubbled and mixed to give a lot of texture and a kind of child like coloring effect. I have to say, I really liked it, especially since it was a card from my 18month old to his older brother. I die cut the number 8 a few times and leyered them to create a chip board number. I coloed it on with silver rub on paint and added a layer of glossy accents. I sprayed the whole panel with shimmer spray and added glossy accent dots to give even more texture.

Make a wish
I can't believe it's Friday again! Boy, I am sooo looking forward to Summer holidays. To not have to rush around dropping off and picking up kids. To just have time to do NOTHING! Be careful what you wish for, right? (I know!) Soon I'll be moaning that they are driving me nuts and that I can't wait for school to start, lol!
Anyway, for this weeks challenge, we had to ink up our favorite Bells and make her into a card. I have so many favorites that it was hard choosing just one. So I went for one I have not inked up yet.
Here it is:
I have ALWAYS loved the ombre look. Recently I am seeing it all over the place, especially on pintrest and I thought about using it here too. I would have liked more of a variation, but I am happy with this. I kept the rest pretty simple. Hope you like it.
Next weeks challenge is a sketch challenge"
Anyway, I am off to prep dinner, and get ready for family movie night.
Have a great weekend :)

Keep moving
TGIF!!! And you know what that means..? It's a Beautiful Bellarific Friday too :) This weeks challenge was to use any sketch that has already been used in a past challenge:
I chose to go with this sketch:
And here is my card:
I used one of the new MY DOLL GIFT STAMPS BY RHEEA. this one is called CLIMB ON. This card was way out of my comfort zone. I typically don't use a lot of pattern paper or paper piecing on my cards. Not because I don't like it, but because I don't think I do it very well. Now don't get me wrong, I have about 100 packs of pattern paper and I keep buying the stuff because I LOVE pattern paper. It's just every time I try and use it, it never looks right to me so I scrap it and do something else.
Well, yesterday I was determined to use some of my stash and not give up. I did waste a few pieces but in the end I ended up with this and I think it is OK, not my favorite card, but not a trasher either :)
I stamped the image on to the musical note pp from the 6X6 head over heals paper pack from Lilybee designs. I then fussy cut the violin and distressed it with antique linen. Next I used a piece of paper from this 6X6 Studio calico pack, Classic calico. Istamped the image again onto this piece and paper pieced the violin on to it. I used a bigger piece of the music not background and mounted them all onto a cream note card. I added some more distressing to the layers just to tie it all together. The "keep moving" sentiment is from the sentiment that comes with the stamp, but I only used a portion of it on the front and the whole one on the inside :)
Thanks for coming by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend :)

Glassene background
Two posts in two days! Wow! I'm on a roll.... hehe:)
I am back today to share a card I made with Tim Holtz glassene paper. I LOVE this stuff. If you wrinkle it and distress it and emboss it and... it looks like leather! So cool! I can see some AWESOME men's cards with this paper.
I embossed and inked the background with distress inks. For the focal image. I inked her up with brilliance starlite black, and stamped her onto some Bella's best white card stock. I then took a paintbrush and dipped it into the starlite ink and dragged the ink to look like pencil strokes. Next I inked up my musical background stamp with pumice stone distress ink and stamped that over the piece. I distressed the edges and adhered it to the background peice. I added some brads and a sentiment and adhered it to a black note card :)
Thanks for visiting me today and I hope you stop by again soon. Tomorrow is Bellarific Friday, so be sure to stop in :)

Make a wish
Hello, hello :)
I have a card to share with you today that I made for a friend of my Husbands at work. She needed a few birthday cards for girls of different ages. This was one of the ones I made. Now, I have to apologize in advance for the AWFUL picture. I unfortunately finished making the card at 3am and I did not have time to snap a pic before he left for work, so I asked him to please take a few pictures before he gave them to her. Well.... here is what I got.......
Why post his? You might ask... Well, I love the way the ombre dress turned out and I am really not a fan of making the same card twice, so I thought I would just post it anyway, for you to see. I don't color often, (I am too impatient) but I really enjoy it when I do. I hope you like this anyway, and will be back tomorrow with another card. :)
Hope you are having a great day wherever you are :)

1 of a kind
It's been another crazy week. I've been trying to catch up on everything that got missed from last week. I am going on about 3 hours sleep right now, and I need to catch some zzzz's soon. :)
Today I have another Bellarific Friday card. The theme was Masculine cards.
here is my card:)
This card was so much fun to make. The background piece is made using the Tim Holtz glasine paper. I am in love with that stuff. This poor piece of paper was abused I tell ya! ABUSED! but look at how amazing it looks. I scrunched, heated, inked, embossed, inked again, sprayed with paint and shimmer, inked again..... well, you get the idea ;)
I stamped the hand from the my mood set onto a Tim Holtz ticket, and distressed it. The sentiment strip was cut out with my silhouette and distressed.
Next week challenge is a sketch ( I'll be back to share, I am too tired to do it now:)
Anyway I have to hit the sack. Till next time:)

Big flower
Happy Saturday! It is a dull and gloomy day here in T.O. So I thought I'd share a bright lower card to brighten things up a little.
I started by heat embossing the flower a few times with white embossing powder. I then colored them with distress inks and covered them with a layer of glossy accents. Next I cut the petals apart at various stage and layered them together to get this layered flower. For the BG, I repeatedly stamped the same flower with varsamark ink and brushed on some perfect pearls in bisscotti. I drew the frame and stamped the sentiment and added the flower.
I hope you have a great weekend.
Thanks for looking :)

Oh boy 'm late!
I am so sorry. I have had my oldest son home sick with strep throat all week, and I had to take the other two to the doc yesterday too. The baby seems to have it too, and although the middle guy does not, there is something going on with him too. I realllly hope he does not get it too. Anyhooo.... with only a few hours sleep this week, I feel like I am a walking zombie.
Now, moving onto actual blog matters, here's my card for this weeks bellarific Friday challenge.
It was a sketch challenge that I should have put up last week, but forgot to do( sorry) I promise to spend more time figuring out how to do this whole blog thing, don't give up on me yet ;)
Here's the sketch:
And here is my card:)
I have always wanted to do a bulletin board kind of card, so when I saw this sketch I knew this was the one to do it with. I started by inking up and stamping the polaroid frame stamp and stamped it on to bellas best white cardstock. Next I stamped it again onto plain copy paper and cut out the middle to create a mask. I then used my stampamajig to position where I wanted the Uptown girls and stamped them into the center. I colored them with copics and distressed the frame with antique linen distress ink. I stamped the sentiment. Next I cut a piece of kraft cardstock and made a frame, i embossed it with a woodgrain plate and put it over a piece of cork. I attached the polaroid to the cork with a pin and popped the whole piece up onto a polka dot background.
Next weeks challenge is masculine cards.... So get making some MANLY cards for those guys in your life and come share them with us:)
Well, I have to go and attend to some sick little people, so I'm gonna have to say goodbye, but I will see you tomorrow with another card. I am hoping to get some crafting time this weekend. Wish me luck! :)
